biography

 

Aliana Au was born in Guandong, China. From 1967-1970 she studied Chinese brush painting with Professor Au Ho-Nien in Hong Kong.

 

From 1970-1973 she studied western painting techniques with professors R. E. Williams, Arnold Saper, Bob Sakowski, Ivan Eyre, George Swinton, and Robert Bruce at the University of Manitoba's School of Art.

 

From 1977-1978 she studied painting with Ivan Eyre and graduated in 1978 with a Diploma in Art. Aliana Au resides and paints in Winnipeg.
